The Application of SWRL Based Ontology Inference for Privacy Protection

Abstract
The phenomena of illegal disclosure of userprivacy has become more serious considerably in the lastyears. How to protect user privacy and prevent user privacyfrom illegal disclosure has become of great interest toresearchers. In this paper, we propose an approach of userprivacy protection based on ontology inference. We createprivacy ontology through detailed analysis of privacydomain. Then, we reason the privacy ontology withSemantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) rule of user privacypreference. By creating ontology and SWRL rules, thenreasoning logically, we can find adequate service whoseprivacy policy coincides with user privacy preference andprotect user privacy effectively. The result of experimentshows that the approach proposed in this paper is feasibleand effective.
